The fast of the 9th of Av (“Tisha B’Av”) is a most spiritually powerful and mournful day of the Jewish calendar, marking exile from Jerusalem, from G-d, and from one another. Whether or not you observe the Tisha B’Av fast, ALL ARE WELCOME to join us for a special exploration of Jewish textual sources on finding hope in the embers of the past.
We’ll explore some of the stories woven around the matriarch Rachel, and how the prophets and sages came to view her as the voice of exile and consolation.
