YOU’RE INVITED to celebrate Shavuot on Sunday evening, May 16, starting at 8:00 pm EASTERN time, with a group of amazing teachers and our fabulous and growing online community.
Shavuot is the festival that marks the Giving of the Torah. To honor the Torah, the custom arose (in mystically-inclined 16th century Tzefat) to celebrate the holiday with a Tikkun Leil Shavuot: a night of immersion in the intellectual and spiritual endeavor of Torah study. All are welcome, for ALL or PART of the evening.
We’re delighted to host a fun and meaningful evening featuring these inspirational teachers:
RABBI ELLIE MILLER is the rabbi of MakomNJ—a new kind of Jewish community, based in Morristown, NJ. She is a Rabbis Without Borders fellow and currently serves as the president of the Morris Area Clergy Counsel.
DANNY SIEGEL is a nationally renowned educator, author, and poet. A recipient of the prestigious Covenant Award for Jewish education, he is the author of over 30 books, including 2020’s Radiance, an anthology of 50 years of his poetry and prose.
RABBI DENNIS EISNER brings his sense of humor and 37 years as an informal and formal Jewish educator to our traditions, community, social justice, and Torah.
RABBI NEAL GOLD is the creator of A Tree with Roots, an online platform for Jewish learning, and the Jewish Chaplain/Hillel Director at Babson College.
There is no cost to join us for this event. However, we encourage participants to contribute to the KAVOD TZEDAKAH COLLECTIVE or to another Tzedakah project of your choice. (Full disclosure for transparency: Neal is a founding board member of Kavod.)
