Ruth: A Deep Dive into Its Meanings and Interpretations

Tuesday evenings, May 10, 17, 24, 31; 7:00 pm Eastern time

Join us for an exploration of the marvelous Book of Ruth: Four chapters, four weeks. Ruth is a short story rich and dense with resounding themes: How does one become part of the people of Israel? How do we care for one another? How does the Bible converse with itself over controversial ideas? How does Judaism balance law and justice with mercy and kindness? And so much more…

We’ll explore the four chapters of Ruth closely in the weeks leading up to Shavuot, focusing on the purpose and intent of the author, but with an eye, too, on fascinating midrash and commentary throughout the ages.

There is no fee for this four-week class. If you’d like to make a contribution to support our work, we’d welcome it, with gratitude:
