I’m delighted to welcome AMBASSADOR MICHAEL OREN - statesman, diplomat, historian, and author - to talk about his new collection of fiction, The Night Archer and Other Stories.
Michael Oren has devoted his life to serving Israel and the Jewish people around the world. As a Member of Knesset and Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office, he interacted with foreign leaders and served as a media spokesperson. As Chairman of a classified subcommittee, he dealt with some of Israel’s most sensitive security issues. Prior to that, for nearly five years he served as Israel’s Ambassador to the United States. He was instrumental in obtaining US defense aid, especially for the Iron Dome system, and he built bridges with diverse communities across America.
A prolific author, Ambassador Oren’s last three books—Six Days of War; Power, Faith, and Fantasy; and Ally: My Journal Across the American-Israel Divide—were all New York Times bestsellers. Six Day of War, in particular, is seen as the definitive history of the the 1967 war.
We’re going to celebrate Oren’s latest endeavor, the publication of The Night Archer, a collection of more than 50 pieces of short fiction. Register below for this FREE online conversation with one of the most engaging and compelling Israeli leaders of our generation.
